Christopher Moraff is a journalist, writer and photographer whose reporting covers topics ranging from art to politics. His work has been published by The American Prospect, Washington Monthly, Business Insider, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia magazine and World Politics Review From 2009-2012 he served on the Board of Editors for In These Times. He currently writes political commentary for PennLive and Al Jazeera America, and since 2004 has served as a writer-at-large for The Philadelphia Tribune–producing feature-length stories around the issues of criminal and prisoner justice. He is a 2014 H.F. Guggenheim Fellow at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and a member of the international photo collective Photography Colony. He has degrees in sociology and journalism from Temple University in Philadelphia, where he lives with his wife and their bevy of semi-domesticated rescue animals.
